Tips and Tricks on How to Increase Your Response Rates

Give your e-mails the best chance of arriving in the desired inbox, in short, send great e=mails.

  • Mailbox setup (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, etc.)

  • Limit the amount of HTML in your emails (filters look for these and give your emails lower scores) 

  • Formatting 

  • Limit the number of links in your emails

  • Turn off link tracking and open tracking 

Content

  • Make your content as relevant and personalized as possible. Have a custom field (e.g. opening hook).

  • Avoid certain words:

  • Example: act now, affordable, click here, order now, etc

  •  Avoid using ALL CAPS

  • Subject line  

  • Make your subject line is personal (if possible)

  • Make it relevant and within context

  • Body

  •  First sentence matters (mobile phone view)

  • Write like you’re emailing a friend

  • Be creative

  • Promise something useful or actionable (if possible)

  • When and how you send

  •  Try using different sending windows
