PersistIQ gives you the option to make your messages as personalized or as general as you wish. Therefore, you can always add more prospect fields or use what you already have by default. A Snippet is simply a field that can be used for any type of information. You can write something personal for every prospect and then add the {{snippet}} to the template and the information will automatically be populated in all of the emails. Or, you can use it as a placeholder. This way, the next time the email is due, you can manually type something instead of the {{snippet}}.

Please note that you can not delete the default field however, you can remove it from your view.
